• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred.
• Memory care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist residents weighing up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document vital signs and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to residents.
• Promote resident independence while ensuring safety and dignity.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Accurately document care provided in accordance with facility policies and CMS requirements.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
• Uphold resident rights and comply with state regulations and facility standards.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct, hands-on care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role supports residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs while maintaining comfort, safety, and adherence to individualized care plans in a respectful and supportive environment.
