Good Samaritan Mandan Sunset is hiring Nursing Assistants to provide resident-centered care in a 128-bed long-term care facility. Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with transfers and mobility.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, evening shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance and retirement options. Minimum CNA certification required; GED or high school diploma accepted; 16+ age.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Assists residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, and assists residents with meals and snacks.
• Assists residents with wellness and recreational programs and may participate in department/organization committees and task forces.
