Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Med Surg unit. You will assist with daily patient care, document vitals and outputs in the EMR, and coordinate with the RN on rounds and patient needs.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, specimen collection, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Requires BLS within 45 days and active Nurse Aide registration, with GED/HSED or high school diploma as educational background.

Qualificações

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
• GED/HSED or High School Diploma.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, ambulation)
• Measure and document vital signs and inputs/outputs in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge tasks with room setup and patient belongings.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Run errands and manage nursing area stock and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers following safe technique.
• Support skin care and use of preventive devices as ordered.
