Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Chicago's Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center seeks a Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care on the Med Surg unit. 3 days per week, 0700–1930, with alternating weekends and some holidays, totaling about 36 hours weekly.

You will help with bathing, feeding, mobility, measurements, and note essential data in the EMR under RN supervision. The role requires a GED/HSED or HS diploma, BLS within 45 days, and current Nurse Aide status.

Qualifications

• GED or HSED or HS graduate required.
• Basic computer skills and good communication.
• Ability to set priorities and stay organized.
• Nurse Aide in good standing and BLS within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, ADLs and ambulation.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, weights, and other data; document in EMR.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges; prepare room and belongings.
• Respond to patient calls promptly; communicate needs to RN.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention practices.
