Job summary

A trusted senior care community in Brandon, SD is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist residents with daily living activities and provide companionship. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a desire to work with seniors, with a CNA certification preferred. Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Assistant

Location: Brandon, SD

Employment Shift: Full‑time Days (6AM – 2PM or 6AM – 6PM) including every other weekend.

Starting Pay Range: $17.50 – $22.00 per hour + Shift Differential. Wage is determined based on years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide light housekeeping and cleaning of resident rooms and equipment.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Document care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the nursing staff.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
• Participate in resident activities and recreational programs.
• Attend to all resident personal hygiene and personal care needs, including but not limited to grooming, hygiene, dining and nutritional needs, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs.
• Consistently work with all neighborhood team members, led by resident and family preferences to meet the needs and desires of each resident.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training if not certified.
• Compassion, patience, and a desire to work with seniors.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work the weekend shift and every other weekend.
