Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services in Peoria, IL seeks a compassionate CNA to provide daily supportive and functional care. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to empower residents as directors of their own care, supporting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meals, and therapies under licensed staff, documenting care, and maintaining a safe environment. Prior CNA experience preferred. State certifications required as noted.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Missouri, Illinois, or PA registry enrollment/eligibility as described in the ad.
• Desire to be part of a person-centered care team.
• Ability to communicate with residents and provide compassionate care.
• Prior direct patient/resident care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ comfort and provide ADL care per scope of practice; respond to call lights and report observations to nurse.
• Assist with residents’ personal care needs while promoting independence.
• Observe residents to identify changes and report to nursing staff.
• Contribute to care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assist during mealtimes and feed residents needing full assistance.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families with professionalism.
• Support residents’ involvement in daily activities and decisions.
• Assist with therapies and treatments under licensed staff.
• Document care provided in clinical records.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
