Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Kearney, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time role on the 6am–2pm shift in long-term care. You will provide resident-centered care under the supervision of an RN, assisting with daily living activities, recording vital signs, and supporting hygiene needs.

The position requires CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing (or in progress within four months) and a minimum age of 16, with ongoing CEUS (12 hours annually).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA certification required (State Board of Nursing) or in process within four months.
• Annual continuing education minimum 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, meals, and vital signs.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to care team.
