Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Kearney, NE seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Duties include basic personal care, vital signs, and documenting care while maintaining infection prevention practices.

Position is full-time, 6am–2pm shift with rotating weekends/holidays; benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, PTO and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Required CNA certification with State Board, or enrollment in training to obtain certification within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Annual continuing education: minimum 12 hours.
• UAP Registry applicable states if required.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with motor vehicle report and valid license.
• Medical qualification to perform essential driving functions per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs and assist with basic health care needs.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the RN.
• Support infection control policies and housekeeping duties.
