Job summary

Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The position covers afternoon/evening shifts with supervision by an RN and includes helping residents with daily living activities and documenting care.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, vital signs, transfers, and supporting wellbeing while following infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 with relevant caregiving consideration.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification with State Board of Nursing or in process within four months.
• Annual continuing education requirements and yearly competency testing.
• State registry/certification requirements where applicable.
• Possibility of Sanford Category II Driver duties with valid license where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and mobility.
• Record vitals and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and psychosocial support.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE usage per policy.
• Support with transfers, range of motion, and routine activities.

Education

CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing

CNA training provided by facility

GED preferred

Minimum age 16
