Job summary

Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a 24-hour care setting. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support medications under a licensed nurse’s supervision.

Shifts include 8 hours at night with a rotating schedule, weekends and holidays required. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualifying applicants, reflecting the facility's commitment to quality care and community

Qualifications

CNA certification in good standing.
Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in assisted living preferred.
Annual competency testing completed; 12 hours continuing education required annually.
Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry registration where applicable.
Sanford Driving Policy may apply; driver’s license verifications may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
Assist with basic health needs including vital signs and medications as delegated.
Document outcomes and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
Support housekeeping and laundry to maintain living areas.
Adhere to infection prevention and PPE policies; ensure resident safety.
Work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
