Job summary

Prairie Vista Village, a beautiful 5-star senior living community in Iowa, is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing high-quality, compassionate care. The role focuses on direct resident care, daily living activities, and documentation under a care plan.

We offer evenings 2pm-10:30pm for CNA positions and full-time opportunities (>30 hours weekly). Our team enjoys a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive, family-based culture focused on joy

Qualifications

• Must be a CNA with certification.
• Ability to assist activities of daily living as outlined in care plan.
• Experience with documentation of resident care and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment.
• Follow care plans to assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Complete documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follow safety policies to ensure resident safety.
• Adhere to Community policies and employee handbook.
• Attend facility meetings and in-service training as assigned.
• Follow infection control guidelines.
• Report changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse promptly.
• Respect residents’ rights and promote positive relations with families and guests.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team! The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible to provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and emotional well-being possible.

Responsibilities

• Follows and upholds The Community’s philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living as outlined in care plan.
• Completes documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of The Community.
• Follows rules outlined in the Community’s employee handbook.
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse
• Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
