Job summary

University of Washington in Seattle seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) for 90% FTE (36 hours weekly) on the night shift. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with activities of daily living.

Requirements include current WA CNA certification, high school diploma with six months direct patient care or health‑care customer service, and BLS for Healthcare Providers.

UW Medical Center-Northwest) Medical / Tele has an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) position.

SCHEDULE:

90% FTE - 36 hours per week

Night shift

No specific schedule

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
• Maintain a safe environment of care
• Patient transportation
• Prepare patients for surgery
• Perform non-invasive lab procedures
• Transport equipment and supplies
• Assist with treatments
• Perform various clerical tasks
• Take vital signs

REQUIREMENTS

• Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
• High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date
