Job summary

UW Medical Center - Montlake in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Internal Medicine / Cardiac Unit. This 30-bed unit delivers care for general internal medicine and cardiology patients with telemetry monitoring and a commitment to evidence-based nursing practice.

The position offers 90% FTE with variable shifts. Requirements include WA RN license, active BLS, and preferably 1 year med-surg experience. UW provides competitive pay, benefits, and a collaborative team environment.

UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Internal Medicine / Cardiac Unit .

WORK SCHEDULE

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Our general Internal Medicine/Cardiology unit is a 30-bed medical/surgical unit that provides care and treatment to general internal medicine and cardiology patients. We care for patients with a variety of medical illnesses including pneumonia, liver and gastro-intestinal disorders, infections, diabetes, renal compromise, auto-immune disorders, heart failure, and acute myocardial infarctions. Telemetry monitoring is provided.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide acute patient care
  • Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor
  • Follow evidence-based nursing practices
  • Monitor and administer medications and IVs
REQUIREMENTS
  • One year current/recent med-surg nursing experience preferred
  • Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
  • Active BLS certification

Pay Range Minimum:

$46.97 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$86.17 hourly

Other Compensation:
