The University of Washington is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) for UW Medical Center Northwest in Seattle. The role requires prior CNA psych experience in a psychiatric facility or hospital unit.

Schedule is 90% FTE, 36 hours per week, with night shifts. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support RN care while ensuring a safe patient environment.

Qualifications

  • Must hold WA CNA certification with NA-C credential number.
  • High School diploma and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting;
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider CPR by start date.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating.
  • Maintain a safe environment of care.
  • Patient transportation.
  • Prepare patients for surgery.
  • Perform non-invasive lab procedures.
  • Transport equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with treatments.
  • Perform various clerical tasks.
  • Take vital signs.

Must have at least one year of CNA Psych experience in Psych Facility or hospital or unit.

Primary Job Responsibilities
