Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide daily resident care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies. You will work under supervision to ensure high-quality care and assist with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities include contributing to care plans, attending care conferences, and maintaining accurate intake and output records while delivering compassionate support to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and of good moral character.
• Provide evidence of employment or residence for two years prior to employment.
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care in accordance with standards and policies.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Develop and implement care plans for residents with staff nurse input.
• Attend resident care plan conferences and family councils when invited.
• Report concerns to the Administrator and nurse in charge.
• Take rounds to ensure residents are safe and comfortable.
• Maintain warmth and a calm environment in the department.
• Assist with orientation for new staff and facility procedures.
• Assist with inventory and packing personal possessions when needed.
• Maintain intake/output records and monitor meals and vital signs.
• Assist with changing beds and cleaning rooms and notifying housekeeping as needed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and telephone calls and run errands as requested.
