Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring CNA to provide patient care at our Care Center in Tampa on dayshift: 7:45am-8:15pm, 3 shifts weekly, every other weekend.

You will deliver patient-centered care under a licensed nurse, monitoring changes in patient condition, and contributing to a compassionate end-of-life care team. Benefits include competitive pay and PTO.

Qualifications

• CNA license required (Florida Board of Nursing).
• 1–3 years of training/experience preferred.
• 1 year of long-term care experience preferred.
• CPR certification from Red Cross or American Heart Association.

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care).
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions or behavior to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the Hospice Aide role and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains confidentiality in care of the patient/family.

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to provide patient care at our Care Center in Tampa on the following schedule: dayshift 7:45am-8:15pm (3 shifts a week), every other weekend.

The CNA delivers quality, patient-centered care under the direction of a licensed nurse, while monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition.

What you'll Do

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care) by a health professional employee.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the role of the Hospice Aide and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.

What You'll Need

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License This is only required if colleague chooses driving herself/himself as mode of transportation when reassigned to work at another facility. This is not a requirement if the colleague chooses an alternative means of transportation when reassigned to another facility based on business needs. Regardless of the mode chosen, both are at the colleague’s own expense, with the exception of mileage reimbursement eligibility when traveling between facilities while on company time.
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
