Job summary

Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, IA is seeking a full-time Acute CNA for evening/night shifts. The Patient Services Technician performs basic nursing care, cleans areas, and helps with inventory in patient spaces.

Eligible candidates are CNAs or students enrolled in CNA programs who hold a current BCLS certification. Position features include holiday rotation and every-other-weekend coverage, competitive salary, excellent benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within a community

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification or be enrolled in an approved CNA program.
• Minimum age 16 and HS diploma or GED.
• Maintains current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Touch up cleaning of the Nurse's Station, patient rooms, and the employee lounge.
• Inventory control and restocking of patient areas, storage rooms, Emergency Room, exam rooms and the Nurse's Station.

Position Summary

The Patient Services Technician is a member of the health care team.

• The PST performs basic nursing care in a hospital setting.
• The PST performs touch up cleaning of the Nurse's Station, patient rooms, and the employee lounge.
• Responsible for inventory control and restocking of patient areas, storage rooms, Emergency Room, exam rooms and the Nurse's Station

Minimum Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or enrolled in an approved certification CNA program.
• At least 16 years of age and attending High School, High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Maintains current BCLS certification.
