Job summary

Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, Iowa, seeks a Patient Services Technician to join our care team. This role performs basic nursing care in a hospital setting and assists with cleaning of the Nurse's Station, patient rooms, and staff areas.

It also manages inventory and restocks essential supplies across patient areas, ER, and exam rooms.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or enrollment in an approved CNA program.
• At least 16 years of age and attending High School, High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Maintains current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Performs touch up cleaning of the Nurse's Station, patient rooms, and the employee lounge.
• Responsible for inventory control and restocking of patient areas, storage rooms, ER, exam rooms and the Nurse's Station.

Position Summary

The Patient Services Technician is a member of the health care team

1. The PST performs basic nursing care in a hospital setting.
2. The PST performs touch up cleaning of the Nurse's Station, patient rooms, and the employee lounge.
3. Responsible for inventory control and restocking of patient areas, storage rooms, Emergency Room, exam rooms and the Nurse's Station

Minimum Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or enrolled in an approved certification CNA program.
• At least 16 years of age and attending High School, High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Maintains current BCLS certification.
