Job summary

Atlas is seeking a CMT Technician to support transportation infrastructure projects across Texas. You will perform field and lab testing on construction materials, inspect work for compliance, and document results using digital reporting systems.

The ideal candidate brings TxDOT Level 1A/1B and ACI Grade I certifications, 2+ years in materials testing, and a valid Texas driver’s license. Safety and quality are core values; you will work outdoors and travel regularly to project sites, maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (technical or related degree is a plus).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction materials testing or inspection.
• Ability to travel to project sites regularly and possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform physical field tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials in line with TxDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.
• Inspect roadway, bridge, and site development work to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Document testing and inspection results using digital reporting systems.
• Review plans, specifications, and testing requirements to support accurate execution.
• Communicate results, observations, and issues clearly with project teams and clients.
• Maintain equipment, calibration records, and follow all safety practices on-site.
• Assist with project scheduling and coordination of field personnel.
