Job summary

Atlas Technical Consultants is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lab Technician 1 in Lubbock to support the West Texas area. You will perform soils, aggregates, HMA, and concrete testing in the lab in accordance with TxDOT and ASTM standards, with room to grow into field certifications.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in material testing, a solid ability to read procedures, and proficiency with lab equipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction materials testing preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend test procedures and lab worksheets.
• Knowledge of soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete testing.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing for soils, aggregates, HMA and concrete per TxDOT and ASTM standards.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and document test data.
• Support occasional field sampling and travel up to 25%.
• Communicate results to Lab Manager and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist in pursuing TxAPA/ACI certifications.
