Job summary

UES, Inc. in Springdale, AR, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I to help plan, coordinate, and execute testing projects ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with ASTM/ACI standards.

You will work with senior staff to manage field personnel, communicate with clients, track progress, and support budget and performance management, with a clear path toward client-facing PM responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline OR equivalent education/experience.
• 1–3 years of construction materials testing (CMT) and inspection experience preferred for non-degreed candidates.
• Certifications in testing/inspection (ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Basic understanding of ASTM/AASHTO and ability to read plans and specs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency in Office and PM/reporting systems.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Support project management activities from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Build and maintain client relationships through ongoing communication and field presence; identify new project opportunities.
• Contribute to business development by supporting client outreach and leading with senior staff to secure new work.
• Assist in developing estimates, proposals, and scopes of work for successful project wins.
• Coordinate daily project activities, scheduling field technicians and support staff as needed.
• Review field and laboratory data for accuracy and compliance with ASTM, ACI, ICC under senior PM oversight.
• Perform field inspections, testing, and assist with special inspections as needed.
