Job summary

UES is seeking a CMT Project Manager I to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction materials testing projects. In this entry‑level role, you will assist with day‑to‑day oversight to ensure work stays on schedule, within scope, and compliant with standards.

Under senior PM guidance, you will coordinate field personnel and lab testing, communicate with clients, track progress, and help manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of construction materials testing/inspection experience preferred for non‑degreed candidates.
• Certifications in testing/inspection (ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety) preferred or willing to obtain.
• Basic understanding of ASTM/AASHTO standards and ability to read plans/specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency in MS Office and project management/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project management from proposal to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
• Help develop project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work with technical teams and senior PMs.
• Coordinate daily project needs, including scheduling field technicians and support staff.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and contractors; escalate complex issues to senior PMs as needed.
• Monitor project costs and budgets; assist with revenue tracking and project performance.
• Review field and laboratory results for accuracy and ensure compliance with standards under supervision.
• Perform occasional field inspections and assist with special inspections as required.
• Review timesheets and field reports for accuracy and timely submission.
