Job summary

ECS Limited's Raleigh field services team seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to lead diverse projects and collaborate with senior engineers and field staff to meet deadlines. The role emphasizes client relations, budgeting, and technical oversight of CMT activities.

You will mentor junior staff, advance professional certifications, and contribute to project proposals and meetings with clients while ensuring safety and ASTM standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology (or related)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance
• PE or PG license in the work state
• Strong marketing skills to establish and maintain client relationships
• Strong communication skills (spoken, reading, and writing)
• Solid understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures
• Solid knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors

Responsibilities

• Support management of CMT projects including daily report review and issue resolution
• Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, pay applications, and assist with collections
• Prepare proposals and change orders; attend client meetings and follow up on reports
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing; mentor junior staff
