Job summary

UES, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I to support planning, coordination, and execution of testing projects that help deliver safe, sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Under the guidance of senior project managers and technical staff, you will coordinate field personnel and lab testing, communicate with clients and contractors, track progress, and assist with budget management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years CMT/inspection experience preferred for non‑degreed candidates.
• Certifications in testing/inspection (ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear) preferred or obtainable.
• Basic knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO standards and ability to read plans.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient with MS Office and PM tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Support project management from proposal through completion under senior staff.
• Assist with developing estimates, proposals, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate daily project needs including scheduling field technicians.
• Monitor costs and budgets; track revenue and project performance.
• Review field and lab results for accuracy and ensure standards compliance.
• Participate in team meetings and mentor field technicians.
