Job summary

ECS Limited, part of ECS Group of Companies, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I for our Charlotte field services team. You will manage diverse projects, coordinate with senior engineers and field staff, and ensure deadlines are met.

Key duties include budget management, invoicing, proposals, and client meetings. You will mentor junior staff and uphold ASTM standards while advancing your professional credentials and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology (Construction Management degrees may not be considered).
• Minimum of 2 full years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Professional licensure: PE or PG in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction materials testing projects and review daily reports with project teams.
• Prepare invoices, pay applications, and assist with collections.
• Prepare proposals and change orders; attend client meetings and follow up on reports.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing; mentor junior staff.
