Benchmark Senior Living in Middletown, RI seeks a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to deliver high-quality resident care in a warm, home-like setting. The role involves accurate medication administration, documentation in MAR, and collaboration with the Resident Care Director.

Full-time positions are offered for 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm with every-other-weekend requirements. Rhode Island licensure and CPR certification are required or obtainable within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires Rhode Island Medication Technician license and competency in drug administration
• CPR certification required or obtainable within six months of hire
• Must have current nursing assistant certification or completed CHHA/homemaker training program
• High School education preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD)
• Notifies RCD of significant changes in residents' mental or physical status
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of PRN meds
• Documents PRN meds and patient affect
• Recognizes and helps prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation

Benchmark Senior Living is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team! As a CMT, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Full time first 7am-3pm, and every other weekend

Full time second 3pm-11pm, and every other weekend

Hourly rate - $20.50/hr - $21.75/hr

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of prn meds.
• Responsible for documentation on prn meds and affect.
• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements

• Must have a Rhode Island Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency in accordance with the state-approved protocol in drug administration
• Successfully complete medication technician competency review (as supervised by RN / RCD) quarterly
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• The Medication Technician must complete a state approved training course in drug administration and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion.
• Med-Techs will be evaluated on their competency by the RCD each quarter
• Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program
• High School education preferred
