Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to deliver care to residents in a warm, home-like setting. The role centers on accurate medication administration within a supportive team.

Candidates must hold a state Medication Technician License, CNA or equivalent, and CPR certification. Quarterly competency reviews and ongoing training are required to ensure resident safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must hold state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency per state protocol.
• Quarterly competency review as supervised by RN / RCD.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within six months of hire.
• Complete state-approved training course in drug administration with certificate of completion.
• Med-Tech competency evaluated by RCD every quarter.
• Current CNA certification or completion of certified HOME HEALTH AIDE or homemaker training.
• High School education preferred.

Benchmark Senior Living is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team! As a CMT, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of prn meds.
• Responsible for documentation on prn meds and affect.
• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements

• Must have state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency in accordance with the state-approved protocol in drug administration
• Successfully complete medication technician competency review (as supervised by RN / RCD) quarterly
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• The Medication Technician must complete a state approved training course in drug administration and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion.
• Med-Techs will be evaluated on their competency by the RCD each quarter
• Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program
• High School education preferred
