Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Technician for Greenwich Farms at Warwick. The role focuses on delivering care to residents in a warm, home-like environment during the 3rd shift.

The CMT will maintain accurate MAR documentation, communicate changes to the RCD, and ensure safety in medication administration, while complying with state protocols and trainings.

Qualifications

• Must have state Medication Technician License and competency in accordance with state protocol for drug administration.
• Quarterly competency review under RN/RCD supervision.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within six months of hire.
• State-approved training course in drug administration with certificate.
• Competency evaluated by the RCD each quarter.
• Current CNA certification or completion of CHHA/Home Maker training.

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and discrepancies about medication administration to the RCD.
• Notifies the RCD of significant changes in resident status.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/Notifies RCD of PRN meds administration.
• Documents PRN meds and related assessments.
• Recognizes and assists in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Greenwich Farms at Warwick is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team! As a CMT, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates questions, concerns, and/or discrepancies related to medication administration to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
• Communicates any significant change of mental or physical status of resident to RCD.
• Documents supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Documents/ notifies RCD of administration of prn meds.
• Responsible for documentation on prn meds and affect.
• Recognizes and can assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Requirements

• Must have state Medication Technician License and demonstrate competency in accordance with the state-approved protocol in drug administration
• Successfully complete medication technician competency review (as supervised by RN / RCD) quarterly
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• The Medication Technician must complete a state approved training course in drug administration and receive a certificate of satisfactory successful completion.
• Med-Techs will be evaluated on their competency by the RCD each quarter
• Must have current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed the certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program
• High School education preferred
