Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Greensboro is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Professional to learn field tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals and to participate in the early stages of project management.

You will assist with field testing of soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, and other materials, and you will document site observations. Opportunities for internal training and certification are available as you grow your career.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
• Ability to work safely in heavy construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Assisting staff with field tasks on CMT projects; some office work as you learn the project life cycle.
• Field testing of soils, aggregate, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, asphalt pavement, and fireproofing.
• Documenting site observations and results in daily reports using CMT software.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients, keep project team informed of changes, attend meetings as needed.
• Learn soil classification.
