Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Professional to join our Frederick team. This role is primarily field-based, providing foundational experience in observation, testing, and project workflows with supervision from senior staff.

You will develop technical, consulting, and project management skills while upholding ECS Core Values and collaborating with a diverse project team. Training and certifications are encouraged as you grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in construction materials testing or related field.
• High school diploma or GED required; a B.S. is preferred.
• Valid driver''s license if driving on behalf of ECS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in teams and independently.
• Basic understanding of construction materials testing principles.
• Developing knowledge of ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field tasks supporting construction materials testing projects.
• Perform site observation and testing with guidance from senior staff.
• Document site conditions and test results in daily field reports.
• Communicate site changes or additional testing needs to project staff.
• Support project lifecycle activities with limited office work.
• Begin learning soil classification and testing methods.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and project documentation.
• Interact with contractors, technicians, and project team members on sites.
