Job summary

ECS Limited in Greensboro is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Professional to grow with a dynamic team. You will learn field testing across soils, aggregate, concrete, and other materials, while supporting project management tasks and client communications.

As experience grows, ECS will support your professional development through training and certification opportunities, with exposure to the full project life cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; B.S. in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Eng Tech preferred.
• 4 years of field or lab CMT experience, or 2 years with a degree.
• Must lift a minimum of 85 pounds and hold a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
• Strong communication skills; knowledge of safety and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with field tasks on CMT projects; some office work as you learn.
• Field testing of soils, aggregate, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, asphalt, and fireproofing.
• Document site observations and results in daily CMT reports using proprietary software.
• Coordinate with colleagues and clients; attend project meetings as requested.
• Learn to classify soil.

Education

High school diploma or GED

B.S. in Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Engineering Technology

Interest in project management and client development
