Job summary

ECS Limited in Greensboro is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Staff Project Manager. You will work under guidance to learn field tasks and the early stages of project management on diverse testing projects.

No prior experience is required; a relevant bachelor’s degree is expected. The role involves fieldwork with soils, aggregates, concrete, and other materials, plus documentation and client interaction as you develop professionally.

Qualifications

• No experience required for the role.
• Degree in Civil/Construction/Materials/Architectural Engineering or Geology with licensure potential.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist field staff on CMT projects; some office work as you learn project life cycle.
• Field testing of soils, aggregates, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, asphalt, fireproofing.
• Document site observations daily using proprietary CMT software.
• Collaborate with team and clients; brief on changes and additional testing; attend meetings as needed.
• Begin to learn how to classify soil.
