Job summary

Butler Rehab & Healthcare Center is actively seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to support our clinical team in delivering high-quality resident care near Butler, MO. Qualifications

• MO CMT certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized resident care and support with daily living activities.
• Encourage engagement and participation in daily routines.
• Administer medications or assist with self-administration under RN/LPN oversight.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
• Assist with resident transportation and feeding as needed.
• Supervise CNA staff to ensure quality care and support.
• Address concerns promptly and document follow-up actions.

CMT - Certified Medication Technician Requirements

• Current Missouri (MO) Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Certification

CMT - Certified Medication Technician Duties & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, personalized resident care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Encourage resident engagement, socialization, and participation in daily activities.
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive environment where residents can thrive.
• Administer medications and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medications under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Transport residents to and from dining areas and assist with feeding as needed.
• Make frequent resident rounds and monitor resident well-being.
• Supervise CNA staff to ensure quality resident care and assistance.
• Assist with direct resident care when necessary and follow up on identified concerns to ensure resolution.
