Job summary

Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA is seeking a CMP Manufacturing Engineer to monitor and optimize CMP processes on the production line. You will deliver strategies to improve margins, reduce costs, and boost yield while ensuring safety and compliance on the shop floor.

The role requires a 4 year degree and 2 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, with frequent data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Exempts status with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics.
• Two years of hands-on experience in HDD fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports day-to-day CMP manufacturing processes to improve quality and performance.
• Develops cost-reducing, yield-improving, and efficiency-boosting strategies.
• Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
• Collaborates with development teams to integrate new CMP processes.
• Maintains documentation and MPI records.
