Job summary

Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Equipment Engineer under the Sr. Manager of Equipment Maintenance and Engineering to evaluate, install, upgrade, and maintain CMP tools.

You will use AutoCAD or SolidWorks to draw diagrams, analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions while managing projects to optimize yield and reduce costs. This full-time role requires an Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent, 3 years in semiconductor equipment engineering,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent
• Three years in equipment engineering in semiconductor manufacturing
• One year hands-on CMP tool experience
• Experience with CMP tools: Ebarra, Strasbaugh/Revasum, AMAT Mirra Mesa
• Metrology experience with CD-SEM
• AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar software

Responsibilities

• Researches, evaluates, and selects CMP tools to improve yield and lower costs
• Analyzes tool data, compiles reports, presents findings, and recommends corrective actions
• Manages projects of varying scope, schedule, and budget
• Coordinates and tracks tool maintenance to maximize uptime
• Uses AutoCAD or SolidWorks to draw diagrams or schematics
• Responds to inquiries from other departments
• Ensures safety and ISO 9001:2015 adherence
• Collaborates with cross-functional groups to resolve issues
• Maintains spare parts inventory and emergency recovery plans
