Job summary

Magna International is seeking a detail-oriented CMM Operator in Clinton, TN to operate and maintain CMM equipment, using PC-DMIS for part layouts and fixture certifications. You will analyze measurement results and collaborate with Quality, Tool Room and Engineering to ensure adherence to GD&T tolerances and production targets.

The role requires 3–5 years in a manufacturing/quality setting, strong math/measurement skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical metrology training preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of CMM operation and GD&T is essential for part layouts and verification.
• Experience with PC-DMIS software and measuring tools is required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/quality environment is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM and assist with CMM maintenance (hardware/software).
• Use PC-DMIS to execute part layouts and fixture certifications.
• Analyze CMM data and collaborate with Quality, Tool Room, and Engineering teams.
• Perform GD&T-based dimensional layout and provide timely data for parts.
• Support PPAP with Quality & Engineering and calibrate measuring equipment.
• Record data and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance.
