Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a skilled CMM/metrology technician to set up, program and validate inspection systems for welded assemblies and components. You will develop measurement strategies, interpret GD&T, and ensure accurate dimensional data for PPAP and process validation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certificate in Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, Welding Technology, Quality Technology, Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Experience operating and/or programming CMM equipment and related metrology systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
Strong computer skills including data management, reporting, and technical documentation.
Experience with Hexagon Romer arms, laser scanning systems, PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, or similar metrology platforms (preferred).

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and program fixed and portable CMM equipment and related software.
Develop and validate inspection programs for welded assemblies, fixtures, gauges, tooling, and components.
Create measurement strategies based on drawings and GD&T requirements.
Perform dimensional inspection and validation of large welded structures and assemblies.
Support APQP, PPAP, and manufacturing readiness activities.
Train operators on metrology equipment and ensure data integrity.
