Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant Education Specialist to collaborate with leadership in maintaining staff education, safety and regulatory compliance. The role supports ongoing clinical competency, tracks regulatory training, and ensures documentation is up to date.

The position emphasizes adult learning principles, uses data to identify educational needs, and works with regional teams to enhance staff development and patient safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 3+ years medical assistant experience required.
• Diploma/certification in medical assisting preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certification from approved organizations required.

Responsibilities

• Shared leadership to ensure staff complete education, policy updates, safety and regulatory learning.
• Maintain core clinical competencies for staff within their area.
• Identify educational needs using data on regulatory requirements and patient experience to inform training.
• Maintain documentation of regulatory and educational activities and clinical competencies.
• Collaborate with leadership to address regulatory, patient safety, quality and competency programs.
