**Details**

+ Department: Primary Care

+ Schedule: Full-time days, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm

+ Hospital: Ascension Medical Group

+ Location: Tulsa, OK

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, and salary range at the time of the offer.

**Responsibilities**

Collect and process blood specimens for testing and perform multiple clerical and processing functions.

+ Set up instruments. Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.

+ Receive, centrifuge, accession, process, and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy.

+ Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders.

+ Perform clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for registration, ordering tests, reviewing ABN, data entry, and filing.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred).

+ Certification in Phlebotomy from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP-BOC) preferred.

+ Phlebotomy Tech preferred.

+ Medical Laboratory Assistant credentials from ASCP-BOC or AMT preferred.

+ Tech credential from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians accepted.

Education:

+ High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of applicable experience required.

+ Professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience if applicable.

**Additional Preferences**

Experience:

+ Prior experience preferred.

+ MA Certification/Registration in good standing through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA.
