Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Idaho's Elmore Urgent Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers, manage patient flow, and ensure a positive patient experience in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures and documentation, and coordinating care across the clinic while maintaining high quality standards and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS-CPR Certification from a recognized body.
• Current National Medical Assistant Certification from NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, collect health information, and prepare patients for evaluation.
• Support providers with patient care needs, including clinical procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Manage patient flow and maintain an efficient clinic environment while prioritizing quality patient care.
• Assist with clinical documentation, care coordination, and follow-up tasks to support continuity of care.

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a key role in supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced urgent care environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy setting, enjoys variety in their day, and can adapt quickly to changing patient needs.

What you can expect from this role:

Schedule: Variable days, including weekends and holidays. Three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:45 AM to 8:15 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, collect relevant health information, and prepare patients for evaluation and treatment.
• Support providers with patient care needs, including clinical procedures, treatments, and diagnostic testing within scope of practice.
• Manage patient flow and help maintain an efficient clinic environment while prioritizing quality patient care.
• Assist with clinical documentation, care coordination, and follow-up tasks to support continuity of care.
• Promote a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service and supporting timely access to care.
