Job summary

St. Luke’s urgent care is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support providers, coordinate patient care, and enhance the patient experience in a fast-paced setting.

The role offers a variable schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week; clinic operates daily 8am–8pm with rotating weekdays/weekends. Applicants must hold required CMA or LPN credentials and BLS-CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CMA or LPN preferred.
• BLS-CPR certification required.
• National CMA certification (NCCT/NAHP/AMT/AAMA/AMCA/NHA) or LPN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, and prepare for evaluation and treatment.
• Support providers with clinical procedures, treatments, medications, and testing.
• Assist with drug screens and occupational health services.
• Manage patient flow and support efficient clinic operations.
• Provide excellent customer service while documenting care and coordinating follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation within scope of practice.

What you can expect from this role:

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, collect health information, and prepare patients for evaluation and treatment.
• Support providers with patient care needs, including clinical procedures, treatments, medications, and diagnostic testing within scope of practice.
• Assist with drug screens and occupational health services
• Manage patient flow and support efficient clinic operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
• Provide excellent customer service while assisting with clinical documentation, follow-up tasks, and care coordination.

CMA Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications

• Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following: NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA

LPN Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program

Certifications

• Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Licensed Practical Nuse (LPN) licensure in the State of Practice
