CMA/LPN or RN - Cardiology Clinic

Dubuque, IA

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 7:45 am - 4:15 pm

40 hours/week

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for CMA or LPN candidates, if external

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus for RNs, if external

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers and clinical staff with obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Demonstrate competence in necessary clinical skills.
  • Track follow-up appointments related to office visits, lab tests, and procedures to monitor disease status.
  • Schedule referrals for specialists or outpatient services, complete required forms, and ensure proper coding.
  • Answer patient questions and provide education to patients and family members.
  • Document appropriately and timely in the electronic health record using standardized workflows.
  • Provide information to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Understand testing results and their implications, taking appropriate next steps.
  • Participate in clinic/department meetings, stay informed via emails and intranet.
  • Adhere to clinic schedules and compliance guidelines (CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Maintain environmental security and confidentiality of protected health information.
  • Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current Iowa license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with CMA certification from AAMA, NCCT, AMT, or NHA.
  • Mandatory Reporter and CPR certifications.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Computer data entry skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
