Job summary

Hands Across Long Island, Inc. (HALI) seeks a Senior Director of Clubhouse to lead on-site operations, uphold international clubhouse standards, and guide program growth with a peer-centered approach.

You will supervise staff, ensure licensing compliance, manage budgets, and cultivate partnerships to expand member employment, education, and housing stability. The role reports to HALI's Executive Leadership and aligns with Clubhouse International accreditation.

Qualifications

• NYCPS/CRPA certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in psychiatric rehabilitation, supportive housing, or peer support; 2+ years in supervision.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Clubhouse Model and recovery-oriented practice.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience in program development or Clubhouse operations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Build and protect a Clubhouse culture aligned to international standards and shared decision-making.
• Work daily with members in units, ensuring a functioning work-ordered day and after-hours programs.
• Oversee operations, facilities, safety, and budget with HALI leadership and finance.
• Ensure NYS OMH licensing, reporting, and accreditation compliance and training records.
• Track census, attendance and outcomes to drive improvement.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff; model Clubhouse philosophy and peer support.
• Facilitate meetings and make personnel decisions when needed, leaning on consensus.
• Build partnerships to expand member employment, education and housing opportunities; report to leadership and funders.
• Additional note: duties may evolve with organizational needs.
