Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Server for the University Club Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The role offers an hourly rate of $5.00 with tip eligibility in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The position requires nights, weekends and holiday availability, plus the ability to work in a team-driven environment. Previous fast-paced service experience and Food Handlers/Alcohol Awareness certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or related Food Service job experience.
• Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings.
• Available to work nights, weekends, some holidays, and home football weekends.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate with employees, coworkers, management and guests clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of the menu and any special items offered.
• Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to banquet guests and communicates clearly with customers.
• Ensures that food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen.
• Ensures neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spill-over.
• Pre-buses tables and bus tables during peak periods.
• Maintains availability to work during peak periods.
• Stocks beverage stations when necessary (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
• Maintains a professional and clean appearance.
• Communicates with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve coordination.
• Builds knowledge regarding bar offerings to answer patron questions.
