Job summary

Excel Fitness in Raleigh, NC seeks a Club Operations Manager to support the General Manager in planning strategies to attract and retain members while upholding our Core Values and culture.

You will oversee hiring, onboarding, training, schedule payroll items, and ensure staff certifications and inspections are up to date.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a focus on service, with on-site work hours typical; CPR/AED certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required; uncertified staff can be trained within 30 days.
• Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise others.
• Familiar with Excel mission, values, vision, and culture, plus Planet Fitness brand and ops.
• Ability to manage a team and communicate effectively with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in planning strategies to attract and retain members while maintaining a positive culture.
• Oversee hiring process from candidate selection, interviewing, to onboarding documentation.
• Train and develop new team members and ensure certifications and trainings are up to date.
• Supervise and coach staff; monitor KPI goals and metrics for the club.
• Manage club inventory, assist with marketing, scheduling, payroll items, and compliance.
