Job summary

Excel Fitness in Havelock, NC is seeking a capable operations leader to support the General Manager in driving club performance and member experience.

You will lead recruitment, train staff, and ensure ongoing certifications while overseeing scheduling, payroll, inventory, and promotional efforts. This role demands strong communication, team leadership, and a focus on our core values to deliver world-class service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED certification is required; uncertified staff may complete training within 30 days.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and supervise a team.
• Familiar with Excel, Word and related applications (DataTrak, Workday, Service Channel).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; capable of handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in planning and implementing member attraction strategies and uphold Excel core values.
• Oversee hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and documentation to standards.
• Train and develop new team members; ensure certifications and trainings are current.
• Supervise up to 20 Team Players and motivate staff to meet performance metrics.
• Monitor KPI goals, club metrics, and insure a clean, great atmosphere for members.
• Manage inventory, ordering, payroll items, and scheduling; support marketing activities.
• Represent the company at events and lead regular team meetings.
