Job summary

Planet Fitness in Ooltewah, TN is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk operations and assist the General Manager. You will multi-task in a fast-paced gym environment, supervise front desk staff, and ensure a clean, welcoming club for members and guests.

Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills are required. You will participate in recruitment, monitor sales and service delivery, and help maintain club standards and program knowledge to drive daily performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year supervisor/manager experience in high-volume retail/restaurant.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive club metrics in line with business performance.
• Recruitment: conduct initial phone interviews for front desk staff and instructors.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to identify opportunities and adjust execution.
• Uphold company standards and maintain a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club.
• Ensure staff accuracy in punctuality, dress code, friendliness and cleanliness.
• Mentor front desk staff and oversee training and performance assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Club Manager.
• Cover shifts as needed and support club audits.
