Job summary

Planet Fitness in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk operations and support the General Manager. You will multi-task in a fast-paced environment, supervise front desk staff, and ensure exceptional member and guest service while maintaining a clean, welcoming club.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and the ability to delegate tasks, with evenings and weekends coverage as part of a rotating schedule. Benefits include salary, 401K, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates preferred.
• 6 months supervisor/manager experience in a high-volume setting.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Open or flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Drive club metrics aligned with business performance.
• Develop knowledge of services, programs, products and competitors.
• Assist in interviewing front desk and instructors.
• Monitor inventory and review sales with GM.
• Maintain standards; lead by example; ensure a clean, friendly club.
• Oversee front desk and overnight staff.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions with GM/HR.
• Cover shifts for call-outs when needed.
• Oversee club audits for cleanliness and organization.
• Mentor front end staff for growth.
