Job summary

In-Shape Solutions, LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to run the club in the absence of the GM. The AGM will lead the team, drive member engagement, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role emphasizes profitability, outstanding service, and proactive supervision of daily operations. The candidate will manage retail inventory, support membership growth, and partner with leadership to optimize labor and expenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years management experience highly desired.
• Fitness knowledge including equipment, personal training, and group fitness.
• Strong service orientation and desire to deliver an outstanding member experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with professional interaction.
• Ability to travel occasionally for company meetings and business needs.
• Willing and able to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR/AED certification required within first 30 days of hire.
• Alcohol/Food certification as required at applicable locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive business results by achieving lead conversion and new member retention goals.
• Manage retail inventory and staff to meet profitability and inventory standards.
• Collaborate with General Manager/Area Manager on membership sales growth.
• Support Welcome Desk with tools and resources per policy.
• Oversee club financial performance and report sales, labor, and expenses; review P&L with leadership.
• Deliver a welcoming, engaging member experience and maintain a clean, safe club environment.
• Lead operational teams and participate in HR processes for hiring, training, and performance.
