Job summary

National Fitness Partners, the largest Planet Fitness franchise, seeks a Club Manager in Shelby, NC. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Operating Partner and oversees all club operations, staff development, and member experience to drive results.

The position requires leading a high-performing team, meeting monthly goals, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• High school education/GED.
• Management experience through Planet Fitness preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure club is fully staffed, and the team performs to NFP standards. This includes building a bench with team members. Responsible for recruitment and staffing to include: recruitment tactics, conducting pre-screens, interviewing candidates and hiring decisions.
• Consistently achieve monthly goals, including drivers and KPI’s.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all members.
• Manages club labor and ensure payroll accuracy by validating employee timecards, approving payroll, scheduling shifts efficiently.
• Ensure assigned clubs are clean, well-maintained and safe for all members and staff. Maintain at least a passing Club BER inspection monthly.
